THE BENEFITS OF THE ONLINE RADIOLOGY IMAGING SERVICES  

      CAD/CAM is bringing you the most comprehensive web-based service for x-ray available!  From this site your facilities will be able to request x-ray service for their patients, input patient specific information for the radiologists, pull and print patient reports, and track the volume of x-rays their facility is producing!  Supervisory personnel will control who at each facility has access to what information by assigning certain levels of information availability to their staff.  In addition, each user will have an individual screen name and password for yet another level of protection!  Finally, facilities will be able to pull productivity reports, access their monthly invoice, and pay it right on-line! The facilities will only have access to the patients and information pertaining to their site to ensure security of protected information.  The site is 100% HIPPA compliant as is the secured server that houses the protected information environment.

  When it comes to managing x-ray information for medical records, the facilities will never again have to wait for a response when a report is missing as they will have immediate access to their reports and images right from their account on-line 24 hours a day!  In addition, because exams are requested on-line, the facilities will see a faster turn around in both service time and report production!  This web application is a comprehensive service-based site.  We produce monthly reports to keep our facilities in compliance with their quality assurance departments and accreditation audits!  We also provide easy access to the credentials of our staff and radiologists by making their CV's and licenses available for our clients to view and/or print on-line any time! 

      Using this service will reduce time and paper resources spent filling out form after form because once the on-line request for an x-ray is submitted, it is transferred to an active patient list that lets your techs know who to x-ray.  The facilities never mistakenly make a second request for an x-ray because they will have an immediate view of whether or not the first request was honored.  Also, the facility controls the process.  For example, they can remove patients from the active list if they are unavailable for an x-ray at the appointed time and forward them for the next scheduled visit.  The list even has a space for the specific location of the patient within the facility!  Your techs will know right where the patient is housed.  In addition, the easy-to-navigate web site will track the progress of an exam and allow the facility to request that a STAT reading be done.  This will give much quicker results than the service can offer now. 

      The website cuts report production costs by allowing you, the provider, to control the process.  You use your own radiologists (or ours).  They log on to the website and perform the readings.  From there the radiologist can view the images (when digital or digitized images are available), review the patient information for important notes about patient history and diagnosis, and dictate his findings.  There is a drop down menu for standard “normal” language that automatically generates a report—no transcribers to pay!  Further, abnormal reports can be directly entered in the data box by the radiologist or voice recorded for a transcriber to type later.  We know that approximately 85% of all x-rays are “normal” so just think of the savings that you will have when you don’t have to pay for them to be typed!  And with the simplicity of the dictation system, the abnormal reports are a snap to produce.

      Since digital x-ray is becoming more and more prevalent in the industry, we recognize the need to assist with the process of migrating from plain film to digital.  To that end, we can connect you with digital equipment providers and contacts.  Eventually, should your company make the transition, the plain film modality is fully phased out, so there won’t be messy chemical processors taking up space in your facilities and worrying the environment.  Nor will you or your facilities have to find space to actually house the film as the images will be immediately available on-line.  As a back up measure, the images and their specific reports will be printed to discs and provided to each facility for storage.  This easy access to images, without having to wait for a clerk somewhere to retrieve the films should really please the on-site physicians, since they can log in themselves and view the images and results on-line and print out what is needed anytime they want.  It also makes consults and referrals easy because the messaging system will allow the on-site physician to confer immediately with your radiologists or ours on a case.  Another advantage of this system is the elimination of errors in billing that result in time consuming research by your administrative staff.  The electronic logs are accurate and readily accessible by both the facility’s staff and yours.  On-line invoices are used to process the billing, but now there will be no preparation time as your facilities can log in on the first of each month to access their invoices ensuring prompt processing and payment.  In addition, the monthly reports are auto-generated and available immediately on-line as well for the managers of your facilities.
